It sure is nice to know that your boat and components will hold up to salt water. Especially if you decide that you want to get rid of it one day.
Camshaft....I will not be using my boat in salt water at all so I not so worried about that.
Mike..... I have a SandRail that is powder coated and I spill gas on it from time to time and it has never did anything to the powder coat???
I was with my buddy when he was filling up his boat. The minute it hit the platform we wiped it off with the water and bug scratcher at the gas station.
To say the least, he wasn't a happy camper.
I got another buddy that HAD a 89 27 Carrera that he painted his hardware with base coat and clear coat. It was very durable, even on the cleats from rope wear.
