Wow Mark that boat is SICK. How did that combo work in the jet boat?
You can see Mark's video's on the Michigan ***boats website.

I thought it was damn quick in the jet boat. Flattie went for a ride in it.
Some may not want to hear this but the same engine that was in a smaller lighter jetboat (19' Stealth) detuned to 11# turbo boost, has made this V-drive Daytona into the fastest and quickest toy I've ever had. It is downright scary to drive. It gets from 30 to 95 in like 3 1/2 seconds.
I took the fastest OB racer where I boat for a blast and he told me he was borderline terrified. He was grabbing at the dash.
I took Detroit Jim for a ride and he told me it pulled like his PE hydro.

Had a good time. As I was pulling out Saturday afternoon, 4 blown injected deals were pulling in. Decent turnout, nice people, great weather, some cool boats. All in all a successful weekend.

Thats actually the first pic I have of it up and running. Glad it wasn't as wet as I was expecting. Just gotta keep telling myself its a "family boat."

Congrats Mark. Looked at the video and it looks like it pulls like a mutha!http://www.burgessviolins.com/forumgifs/kungfu.gif
    Turbos sound neat too. http://www.burgessviolins.com/forumgifs/drool5.gif
Now that you've got a boat worth living for, any progress on the better propshaft? What's the steering setup? Dual cable?
Can't have the only other V-drive tunnel owner in the Midwest goin' "dirt-nap" on me.

    Thanks Dave,
I'm really surprised you don't see more of these v drive tunnels around. It seems to be the ultimate combination to me.
I've been told I'm on borrowed time on the 1" prop shaft. With the cost of the shaft I am weighing out upsizing to 1 1/8". The boat has dual cable steering and it seems real tight.
