Beautiful.
Just returned from our Powell trip and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Found a little Island paradise at the back of Rock Creek Canyon, that with a few hours of work with the rakes, turned it into a great beach.
Found an awesome hike at the back of Face Canyon.

Beautiful.
I've been wondering about that hike in the back of Face. We haven't been in there since the water went down but it used to be a cool hike years ago.
Thanks for sharing.

It's definitely an adventure now. If you can get past wading thru some of the nastiest water, a few inches of wood chips and muck and very cold water, there are some very cool sites thru there. I couldn't beleive my wife and daughter's were up for the adventure, they were screaming the entire time.

Man I've never seen any thing like that before. Those pics are great, post more if you have them!
Were heading up Friday morning.
Were there many scouts comming in and looking for that spot??
Rock Creek's not known for having much camping.
It looks like an awsome spot.
We have about 6 boats going up, and that looks perfect.

If you go all the way to the end of Rock Creek, there are some great sand beaches. This little Island was full of tumbleweeds and sticker bushes when we arrived. Just a little fire, diggin & some raking and it turned out nice. Our group consisted of 3 houseboats, 6 boats & 4 Seas Doo's surrounding the Island with plenty of space for more boats. Just to the right of this spot is our normal camping beach, but it was occupied this year. Don't be afraid to ask when someone is leaving if it's already taken.
