Early Campbell water pump system

I have a friend with a 71 Campbell 24ft cruiser. It has a 454ci chevy. The water pump is camshaft driven. I am not sure of the make of the existing water pump but it needs to be replaced. Campbell wants $3800 to replace it. I am thinking that I could do it a lot cheaper than that. Does anybody know about the early Campbells water pump system.

I remember many big block Chevys used the Jabsco rubber impeller pump driven off the camshaft. Is it just the impeller thats bad?

Check Rex Marine and CP performance. They both have replacement parts or a whole new pump is still gonna less than $3800.00 (was that a typo?).
