Yes I was. It has a 500EFI with a Whipple. I recently had AFR Aluminum heads installed and it ran 91GPS on Elsinore, no tabs and no porpoise. Sweet, I think I'll keep it for awhile as the used boat market sucks and this one is paid for. Yours looks great, good luck with the sale.

Sounds sweet,,I love the build quality and performance of the Laveys. I run 80mph at 4500rpm and my kid lays down in the cabin and watches a movie. But I mainly cruise at 65 with the family on board for safety. I have had mine up to 98mph at Havasu in 105 degree temp. It should run low 100's on a cool day with light load. Good luck with yours, I think you made a good choice to keep it

Thanks, finally got the ride problem solved so all is good. Like you, I wanted to try a deck boat and even went so far as to put a deposit on a Hallett 285 deck. Unfortunately the wife found out and put a stop to that. But turned out to be a smart move now that the bottom has fallen out of the used boat market and my Lavey has no more issues. I really liked the Hallett tho, so maybe in the future.
Again, I wish you success with that beautiful boat of yours.

I like the Hallet's also but they are to to tall to fit in my garage. I have a 7' door and the Lavey clears it by 1/4". I am looking at Howard, Magic and Conquest decks. Lavey's deck is to tall also. All depends on if I can sell but I am not in any hurry. I love everything about this boat and don't mind having it for the remainder of the season. We will have to meet up sometime and compare notes on the gels. I am sure there are some suttle differences but yours is the original...take care...

    Marc,
I would enjoy meeting up with you at some point- maybe Parker or Mojave or Mead. Haven't had the boat out yet this year as I just got it back from the folks who did the engine and hull work. Maybe in another two or three weeks hopefully. I'll let you know when I have something set up and we can meet. Hope I will be able to recognize your boat-
Oh, by the by, there will be no racing.

Tom, sounds good, I am trying to get an August trip going. I never race with the family on board, just cruise along and find a nice cove to hang out in...keep in touch...Have a nice day

    Marc,
Do you have any particular place in mind for August? Sounds like a possibility. Let me know, my kids are getting anxious(mine are a lot older then yours) I was just kidding about the racing. It wouldn't even be close, you're too fast for me.

    Tom,
We usually roll to havasu. I rent a house 2 blocks from the Water near Windsor. Almost new with a 40 garage for the boat for 90 a night. 2 bed 2 bath. Then we like to go to Steamboat and hand out there in that cove for the day...How about you guys? Have you tried the Hydromotive 5 blade on yours? Teague suggested it for mine when he water tested and it really gives the best all around performance and handling for my boat. Better then the 4 blades and the mid range is up like 4mph at same rpm as the 4 blade was.

    Marc,
We don't go to Havasu. Way too much drama, drinking, nudity, stupidity, etc. Used to go there all the time for years when it was a great place for the family but no more. We hit the Casino at Parker during the week(no weekend stuff) and try to make it to Mojave and Mead at least once.
Yes, I tried the 26 Hydromotive P5X(It is for sale) and the boat did not like it at all. It may work on yours tho, but no good for me. The best one for my boat was the Hering 5 blade 30. Just perfect at all speeds with a great cruise. It has a slight cavitation when getting on plane so I have to tab it a little until it rolls over. I sure don't stab the throttle as I am running a XZ upper with a Imco 2" shortie. The XZ is the weak link so I have to be gentle.

Nice boat & nice set-up. What ever boat you buy, I would give Gary Taylor a shot at your business. I am very happy with my TPI700.
