so i have a 22' ultimate warlock w/225 merc. i had a 23 pitch 4 blade and it would run 60-65 with gas and 2 guys 3 girls(good ratio i think) with 5 people we have to do the "takeoff Shuffle". usually i have 3 people and its ok out of the hole with same speeds. by myself its a rocket out of the hole and seeing 70-75, im running 6000 to 6500 at those speeds......so im going to try my buddies 26 pitch chopper that he has on his 225.......he says his motors rev at 7000 to 7500...the max rpm says 6500 so i dont know if his gauge is off or what. do you think im askin for it usually runnin at 6500? at 6500 my pressure is between 8 and 10 pounds....... i need some advise!
a ran the boat a little with 3 ears cuz i didnt really notice........i hope i didnt mess up the bearings! i really dont need to rebuild my sportmaster
sounds like the prop you have is about right. The 26 pitch chopper is just gonna lower your rmps alot and make it harder to plane out. As for your water pressure it should be 12-15 minimum at wide open. I have a 200 Merc and those are what my spec say but i could be wrong about yours.
