Thanks OC. Honestly I wouldn't pay what these things are going for, it was my father inlaws, now it's my sons. I would like to convert it, but it's a '76 with 60k original miles and runs like a champ. This will be our first season using it, I just finished replacing all the rubber, shocks, carb, tires, and doing all the basic maintenace to get it ready. My father in law bought an 06 Wrangler. (I think he should have kept this one) The only left is the winch, he smoked the motor pulling three trucks out of a "dry" lake bed 20 years ago.
So who told you gearing is everything Tri County? I hear they are a rip off...
Nothing will ever equal HP and torque.....
but makes sure you get hill climbing suspension.. not rock crawling suspension. oh ya.. dont forget the tow strap and to turn off the ac.. lol
