Familiar with a 4-7, 3-2 swap. What is their claim with the 3-5?

The 4/7 swap for a professional race team can be some added HP but to a avid power boater it is "Marketing BS". If this mill is a comptetion only piece or has a large stroke in the engine ( the 4/7 swap will help with crank harmonics) then a 4/7 swap has merit. If this mill if for pleasure and under a 4.500" stroke then the 4/7 is marketing.

I run a 7-4 swap cam made by bullet. Its a big assed cam for racing only. .757 lift, 311/315, @.050 is 280/284 and 110 lobe separation. Its in a texas tunnel with a 496 chevy, brodix BB 2 plus heads with a barry grant 1150 holley carb. I was shooting for the 10 sec. class when i put this combination together and luckily i hit right on the number. The only time this motor runs smooth is at 6500 w.o.t. I`ve never run another cam in this motor so i do`nt know if another would be better or not. All i do know is that i`m satisfied with this one.

With smaller heads and a smaller cam, you could run low 9's.
