For you guys out there with the Hondo's,Cole's,Sanger's, etc. Are you guys running any sound setups for music?
I can see where you would put the HU, but what about the speakers and sub? with out running a tower of any kind.
I came across this ad and it just made me think.

Would love to put a system in the Hondo. Just wondering the pro's and con's.

I installed a system in my fathers' Hondo. The deck goes on the passenger side, put two 6x9's to the right infront of the front seats. Cut out the back seat panel infront of the motor and put in two 6 1/2" there, looks clean when pulled tight over the interior. And one 10" Sub with box under the passenger side of the bow. The boat originally had a sub under the drive side that was cut into the bow wall, but couldn't make an enclosure to make it hit. I'll try to get some pics for examples

I think that is a real clean boat for under 6k.

I like that idea of the 3 by the drivers and passenger feet. What about the sub? what are you going to run and where.
and to the guys running 8's or 10's under the bow did you just stick a pre-fab box in there or actually build a home for it?

Another thing about running the deck on the "dash" is you need to make sure your deck is supported by more than just the aluminum casing that comes with it. I glassed my fathers aluminum casing to the dash so it made it much stronger, and no more bouncing
And just used a prefab single 10 " bow. The passenger side doesn't have much room for legs anyway, so it really didn't bother

Im gonna fiberglass an enclosure for a 10 right in front of the foot pedal ..the wood panel in front of the foot pedal on my boat has enough clearence so it should fit..im still negotiating if im gonna put a sub tho cause im gonna have 600w going to all the speakers and the bow acts like a box and projects the sound pretty nice to where i dont think im going to want a sub

definitely run a sub. you wont have enough cone area to produce any low end.

I second that, no matter what speaker you run, it will get at its lowest say around 60hz. 60 and below you can set the sub too, it all depends what type of music you listen too.
