Jews live in Iran (as third class citizens) because they have lived there since the days of the Persian empire 2700 years ago and as recently as in the early 20th century the then Sha of Iran invited Jews to immigrate there. Aquavelvaterd invited them to his nutty summit, so he could trot them out and use them to try and add some credibility to his twisted nazi-like views. The nutty mullas have not killed them all yet, because they know what happened to Hitler when he tried to.
P.S. Around 1950 there were approx 150,000 Jews in Iran. That number is now less than 40,000.

In the 1960s, the U.S. provided Iran its first nuclear research reactor. Despite Iran's enormous oil reserves, the shah wanted to build numerous nuclear power reactors, which American and other Western companies planned to supply.
