blower size?

on a big block chevy,is the blower intake manifold the same for a 6-71 as a 8-1 (and bigger)or is the manifold spicific to each blower?,and how do you tell what size blower it is? thanks

Blower manifolds are the same for 6-71 through 14-71.

It might be. I do know that the manifold is the same for an 8-71 through 14-71, so I was assuming it was true for a 6-71 too. I've never dealt with anything that small.

I have an 871 on my Howard, and the manifold I bought was about 1" to short on the plenum opening, I had to make an adapter to make the blower fit. Otherwise the bolt pattern was the same. This was a Wiend manifold.
