Get a topo map and GPS and follow this. This is not Hard core but a great 4x4 trip with great scenery. Lots of offshoots so if you have a topo you can change the route a bit.
Standard wash to West Mohave Wash to Mohave wash, NW on Mohave wash to the corrals on the west side of the wash several miles up ( marked on topo as Mohave tank as there is a well and tank there). Look for the old corrals as an indicator for the entrance to Middle Mohave wash that leads back to Dutch Flat "road" and Standard Wash, then home. Just don't do it without a topo and GPS, otherwise very fun, especially after the rain. The main Mohave wash could be running. Take a lots of water. Should be about a 3 hour ride. If you are new to the desert it is easy to mistake other roads, turn offs and trails.
Either way if you have the Topo do your own route going out standrad and taking one of the Mohave washes that do a loop back and tie back into Standard. It's all great.
Something like this. THis is not exact as I just grabbed google earth but it is the washes that I spoke about. Don't blame me if you dont get back

We have been up past Bison Road and always had a great time. There is a B-25 crash site after you pass the Falls. Please show respect when visiting as all crew members died at this site. There is evidence that some folks must destroy or remove the reminents of the plane. Here is the info:
In the drainage between two small mountains, about 3300 feet
In August of 1945, just as WWII was drawing to a close, a U.S. Army Air Force B-25 bomber crashed into the side of a mountain while on a training mission in Arizona. The five crew members were killed and the burning wreckage of the plane was strewn all over the mountain.
Although a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended, this site could conceivably be reached by hiking. Just be sure to have plenty of water, good boots, and other supplies needed for desert hiking. A cell phone wouldn't hurt, either. To reach the site, come into the BLM entrance at the end of Bison Boulevard in Lake Havasu. Follow the road past the old concrete foundation known as Repp's Ranch. Go down over the hill and follow the road past these waypoints:
    N 34 32.260 / W 114 14.582 Road Forks, BEAR LEFT
    N 34 32.585 / W 114 14.207 Road Forks, BEAR RIGHT
    N 34 32.635 / W 114 13.895 Road Forks, BEAR RIGHT
N 34 32.748 / W 114 13.439 This will put you at the foot of a large, dry rock waterfall. From this point on, you need a jeep, ATV, or the willingness to hike. It's about another 1.5 miles. Go up the trail around the left side of the waterfall and up the hill.
    N 34 32.634 W 114 12.708 Road Forks, BEAR LEFT
N 34 32.618 W 114 12.428 This is where you leave the trail. There is a very large, grizzled old saguaro cactus, and behind it, the drainage containing some of the wreckage. Follow the faint foot-trail on the right side just above the drainage. About halfway up, at the foot of another saguaro, you will find a huge engine from the B-25, and a shiny piece of aluminum from the fuselage.
    Good Luck

I'll try to dig some pics up for ya too, a little later.
I go up there all the time from the house. Last week we went up there I took the quad up to the left and went over the top and past the waterfall (it was dry last week)... small little trail, I do not know if I would take a jeep up there.

I got mine through but it was tough going. The trees and under brush really work the Jeep. Once through the first 1/2 mile the trail clears out and seems to go for ever. It's a nice run, just remember you have to come back the same way you came. Machete / small chainsaw is not a bad idea.

Cam, next time you go, could you fire that area out so I don't scratch my Jeep all up?
