It's Jorge Gurgel. He is by no means a newbie! He's Franklin's trainer. He's also a BJJ black belt. I was so bummed he lost. He is one of my favorite fighters.

He missed his calling 10 years ago when Tank Abbott was popular.
funny you mention Tank and Kimbo in the same post. They were scheduled to fight last month but the promotion was cancelled. They are now rumored to fight soon in the PFC, a California promotion. They are in talks. Time will tell.

agreed, I hope the days of barfighters never returns to the UFC... it demeans the sport IMHO..... These guys are more than ever, professional atheletes... if tank and kimbo wanna show up with cardio and true ground skills then I have no problem, but they won't... this sport is about physical and mental prep now... nothing less than both should do or the UFC moves backwards:coffeycup :coffeycup
