Thread: Engine rebuilder

    Looking for a reputeable engine rebuilder for a 502 chevy built by marine power, model 500x. I live in Alameda Ca. near S.F., and Oakland looking for someone with 100 miles of this area to rebuild engine apparently I ran low on oil broke the thing. Please help. Would like to keep it with oringal parts if possible.

    I second Barry (Obnoxious001). He built my motor and I love it.
    He's in SoCal though but worth the trip.

    Try S&S Automotive in San Leandro. Prob. the best shop around for building Chevys. They are a no bullsh*t type of shop and will be straight up honest with you. Machine work is excellent and reasonably priced. Just don't walk in with an additude as they will show you the door. If you can get past Celia ask for George or Rick.

    Man I got past her one time then was all set to do biz, second time in dang, she was like an a lineman and couldn't get past her. If ya go down ther go on a friday afternoon,,,,,she's gone then
