My poor neighbor across the street (part timer) He lives in S.D. north county

Really nice thing to do...I can't believe how many people we have talked to who have homes in SD or Irvine area and also a vacation home in Arrowhead....know of at least one guy who lost both....

is it not normal practice to turn the water off to the house for most people? After every trip we always shut the main off to the house to prevent these sorts of things from happening.

Way to go Karl.... just exemplifying the Team Turnkey attitude - people helping people.
It could be much worse...he could be the target of Team Turn Key and there is just no recovering from that...it is like the scarlet letter A.
