looks like if something went bad, that would have been a mess with their surroundings.
Mr Harley could make his sled sound like that if his check would clear

I seen this boat on some morning show, and they let a guy from the show drive it (the steering part) and I think they took it up to a bit over 180mph...pretty wild...

I think they are using an MTI and messing with turbines now?

Either way Andy, I'll have some video up shortly. :notam:
Actually, they have abandoned the MTI's and the Turbines and are sticking with the Callan.
They must have purchased every serious hull out there.

well looking at the budselect web page they do have both MTI's for sale.
Though they did run both MTI's LOTO this year
I was hoping to see them really get the turbine MTI dialed in, guess they just like the callan better...

    It was Matt Lauer.
...and JT was on the sticks and they ran 164mph up the Hudson river in New York! Very cool segment a few years back on the Today show.

Just curious, like someone here said in an earlier post about the close quarters they were running in at the Savannah kilo run, what would have happened had something let go? This particular boats set-up is a 36 Skater with Sterling 1550's with fixed #6 drives without skegs and a rudder for steering! Being that the drives are fixed and the rudder steers, what would happen if one motor or drive locked up? Does the boat hook, but is still steerable, or does it keep going straight?

Dan's 36' locked up at 160MPH (no rudder)...and the damn thing went straight! Imagine that!

If you want to figure the speed or guess it I should say, take a look at those
big ships it is passing, I would guess some of them are 1000 feet long or more
and it gets by them pretty quick. then look at the bridge that it goes under,
that's when he really gets on the gas. Notice how after about 5 seconds,
the bridge is way distant in the rear. Great sounding motors. Yes that boat
did sell about 2 years ago. But there's about a dozen others painted just like it, different sizes and they're all built to haul the mail! or should I say the "beer"??
