Heard the blast. Pretty cool.
was alcohol involved? or is that only for boating incidents?
Is it me or does anyone else find it odd that they blew the thing up INSIDE OF THE TRUCK

That's the way they do things in the Wild West.
I'm surprised they didn't pull up in a tank and just take it out.

Does Havasu have a bomb squad. ??
Does Havasu have a bomb squad. ??
The million dollar question, Ill bet if they did they may not have choose to blow it up in a residential area....
I think they need to tax the fuel in Havasu to help pay for a bomb squad!!!
But hey...they found a good use for a Chevy!!!! LIKE A ROCK...
HA HA ..FLAME AWAY!!!

Boy scouts!!! Seems strange that not knowing the explosive potential (type) they would set it off in the street with all that desert out there. Used to do HHW events and would get explosive stuff. One time in Santa Barbara we got some swetty dynamite sticks and the like. Made the call to Sherrifs (weekend) and the bomb squad guy showed up in a BMW, put it in his trunk and drove away. They would take it to the firing range and set it off. One time we got some picric acid with a crystally lid, they moved everyone out at least 200 yards and set it off with a charge. Did that because this is very shock sensative sh*t and risky to move.
Thruth be told, I heard the Havasu guy was haulin ass up McCulloch doing about 120 and some a**hole in a blue and green school bus cut him off. He tried to avoid and spun off into the reeds.
Getting old isn't it?
Did they catch the driver or is he still running around ?
