My son is in Florida and found a boat he likes. A 98 Cole 22' running a 350 mag with a bravo 1 outdrive. Has about 450 hours running time on it. Anyone know how long these will run before any major work is required on the engine or outdrive and what should he be aware of with that many hours..? Thanks,

When I removed my stock Merc 350 260hp it had close to 850 hours and was still running perfect and not burning any noticeable amount of oil. I never did anything more than change the oil and regular maintenance. A stock 350 Mag is not stressing a Bravo drive at all. He should only have to change the gear oil and replace the seals if they ever start leaking.
Stock Merc parts are built to last and do the job with only regular maintenance.

It is pretty common for stock 350/bravo combo to run for 1000hrs or more. It ALL depends on maintaince. The drive will last forever due to the lower torque output of the smallblock.
