Yesterday at work, boss receives a flyer from Carmenita Trucks about a new work truck called a Sterling. It looked like a Dodge, had a Cummings engine, Mercedes Benz Tranny. Offered 180K mile warrantee. Anybody hear of these, any experience with them. Come on someone give up the scoop.
Sterling has been around for a long time as a division of Freightliner, which is owned by Daimler, hence the Mercedes options for an MBE 900 engine and Mercedes transmission, and the resemblance to the Dodge.
Didn't know you could get them with the Cummings engine though. :notam:

Thank You, we never heard of them. Looked like a good truck after the problems with 6.0 Fords, think the boss will be looking at these.
I thought they were partnered with Ford?
