    flatties forever
I've had this flattie for nearly 20 years. Been a great boat. Finally time to start playing with it to see what she can do as opposed to just keeping her running. The boat has a Ford 428 FE motor with CJ heads. Velvet drive tranny(72-C), Casale vdrive (18% over +-). Through transom exaust. Not sure of strut angle. The prop is where I'm stuck.. It's 1 1/8" LH rotation and a two blade prop. It's rusty and time to go. The only number I see stamped into it is # 3398-15. No clue of MFGR. I'm looking for help Id'ing the prop and (more importantly) choosing the next prop. Mid range and top end the most important (ski with a different boat). Want to keep Revs below 6K (it is an FE motor..) and want to see mid 70 mph... Motor is making around 400 HP, maybe a little more.. Any suggestions?? Not switching to Chevy, so don't bother with that one..
