    Good call the boat in the foreground may be the very one or is identical.
    same interior and all! had to cut my engine cover for the tunnel ram and added a few gauges-all auto meter marine carbon fiber! The pump issue appears to be in the bearing area. Tim says the shaft dimensions are correct
    but I still have the .225 clearance at the front edge of the impeller. Says could be an old style bearing causing the problem. I picked up another pump
    its a jba-hd-ss with double drilled front cover and an aq shaft and bronze
    aggressor A for 450. Wil probobly set this one up in my other huosing as its been smoothed and speedcoated and drilled for presure gauges! Also using
    an aggressor 9 vein bowl. Tim is working with me and will take care of the problem.

    Seems more likely the shaft was not properly machined for the inducer(too short), which would then push the impeller back, leaving that excess clearance. Did he have the whole pump or just the shaft?
    Should have walked up the street and told me what was going on.
    Boat looks nice. How long until the new engine goes in?

    Hey sqirt thats what I thought. seems .200 off both steps would put me in the ball park. where in nor cal? I am nere berkeley ca. a local pump guy would be good. I first spoke to walt at jet pump dynamics who is out of buss due to health issues. he recomended timm so thats where I went. The engine went in a couple weeks ago have to finish some plumbing and one more carb
    hope to fire it soon. was ready to bolt the pump up when I noticed the clearance issue but the intake is set so I can work around the pump for now.
    just wanted to get the ride-plate dialed but will have to wait.
