If you have any bling you want to show off, paint it black. The contrast makes the chrome show up better.

I had a white block in an olds once. BAD IDEA!!!! Oil shows a little worse on lighter colors and with a ford... I have always gone with gloss black to offset the polished ever since the white block incident.

Here's a bad shot of black with some yellow. Mine, could probably go either way. Depending on your color scheme, yellow would probably look great. My opinion of yellow is that it is more of a custom touch to the boat, than the black. You know what they say about opinions, just like sphincter's , everyone has one.http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/8...2939jpgne6.jpg

If you're showin off your motor, paint it yellow. If you're hiding it, paint it dark.....

The motor in mine and dad's Sanger is black right now(block and heads) but when dad turns the boat over to me permenantly I will be pulling the engine, rebuilding it for more HP and painting it red and silver.
Now the blower motors in my Dominator are painted lime green and yellow and I love the way they match the boat.
