My last true flat would go 103-107 on the gps......600hp 468....This one would go 85 on the gps with a 396 and no cav pedal....I know the runner bottoms go straight but 100mph is not too hard to get....:idea:
103-107, Well which one was it. That 4 mph variable is quite a bit. 600 HP in almost all true flats was always 85-95mph. I would love to see an honest 600HP, in a true flat, go 105 MPH. Just based on my own experiences w/ 1970 17'10" w/396, w/427, and w/ 451 bbc's.1970 Kinsvater 19" w/ 466 BBF. 1972 Sanger GullWing 18' w/ LS-7 . All of these were between 80-95 MPH. The GullWing w/850 HP around 110-115 MPH. Just sharing my own experiences..
I will let you know....I feel the same way....My first flat was set up as a runner and one time at east park the conditions were perfect and I got 107.....As soon as my new project is done I will post some reults.....The floor is getting flowed right now and then off to the paint shop...and then blown 540 WITH HELMET..I am going to just use it for a lake hot rod next season then sell the hull and move into a 501....
So no more pics of old circle runners?
