Thread: Prop shaft seal

Since I'm on a roll and everybody is being so helpful, what if any is the preferred seal for the propshaft on a V-drive? The broken POS that came off the 21 Hallet was a plastic version of the the two nuts with packing inside. I see that there is a grease-able version that has a water dump as well.
Bottom line- which is the most leak and headache free?
    Thanks in advance.

Do a search in the V-drive section. There have been a few threads and some good input from Rex on their products. I swithed to their greaseable rubber seal last spring and it seems to work just fine.
