If it has a spacer in between the case and out put shaft.

Put it in gear, crawl under the boat and spin the prop.....If it goes "click click click" it has one.........If it won't turn in the normal direction, you don't have one.........And there is a seperate assembly bolted to the back of the v drive........MP
