when is the bridge to bridge run in sacremento?

From what I hear it was a very popular event for the greater Sacramento area. What ever did happen to it?
I heard there was talk of a different event that someone was trying to put together this year but it wasn't named Bridge to Bridge this year for some reason.
Anyways I am sure that it will be posted as it is finalized.

JUNE 28 SACRAMENTO RIVER RACING WATER FESTIVAL
aka "Bridge to Bridge"
Permit is processing and the city is coming around I think.
Things are once again coming together for the big one. The format will be very similar to prior B2B runs with the biggest difference is we will be concluding the competition on Saturday and may run late in the day to do so.
We are having to fund this ourselves with no involvement from the city as we have had in the past. We will be asking for help with sponsorship from many so think about how you can help or suggest someone who will. Cost $250.00, only 50 boats and pre-registration mandatory by 6-16.
Lodging: Embassy Suites $159 916-326-5000
The Delta King has very limited rooms available for $159.00 also and that Embassy Suites booking is limited also.

You must book under SACRAMENTO RIVER RACING WATER FESTIVAL --- VERY IMPORTANT
Thursday 10am Set up day. If you bring your boat in you
will need to pay for this nights docking
individually.
Friday 10-2 On site registration at Embassy Suites
12 Official opening ceremony-all boats involved
1-3 Practice for speed trials and walls of water
12-6 Poker Run Stops open
4-6 American River Raft up
7 Welcome Cocktail party at Embassy Suites
Poker Run Awards
Sat. 8:30 Drivers meeting
9 Event begins
5-7 Event over
... Awards party immediately follows
conclusion of the event on Saturday --
to be held at Delta King.

Chris, is the permit with the City? If so, give me a call or send me a PM with some details...who its submitted to, dates, the great stuff the B2B does for the city and so on. I'll get the PR person at my office to put in a good word with Mayor Fargo and the City Counsil for ya.
