I've got a factory Hardin Marine 5.7L 260hp SBC in my jet, with 9:1 compression. RPM's at wot is 4400. The boat is 16ft. Right now it has thru hull logs, but I have ot twisties that will go on this year. What parts would you use, without having to do any machining. I'm thinking alum heads, cam and lifters, intake, but which ones?

I guess no one really does use this site. I certainly thought Timinator would have some type of reply.

Thanks Tom, I was trying to get a pulse out of these guys, give them something to do. Hell, I still haven't put them twisties I bought from you, on yet! I was thinking about puffin up the small block though, then install the headers. Not really sure what to do.

Make it a 383 , If you use it in fresh water use AFR heads and call Bullet Racing Cams 1 662 893 8022. We used World Sportsman II heads and Bullet and made 425 hp @ 5300 on the dyno .

Mind you I do not have a jet but a i/o in a 18. I went the same route as Rrocky w/ a 383, AFR 195 Eliminator heads w/ a Bullet cam and pulls like a bear . Did not dyno but happy with all the extra power. Something to consider. Good luck.

I'm talkin about using exsisting 5.7 350 thats in the boat. It's got 9:1 compression. I was looking for bolt on performance that would be worth the money. Cam/lifters, heads, intake?
