I have a convinsor 251 with a 310mpi.
Does anyone no what this boat will run with a 500hp?Just wondering if it would be worth the upgrade

I suspect your under powered anyway with only 310 ponies for a 25 footer and that you're probably in the low 60's. If you mean HP500 that's 470 horses and that would (I'm guessing) put you in the mid to upper 70's at least and would require re-propping as well to optimize for the boat. That's also a lot of dough to drop. Have you considered trading up into a boat warrantied with a HP500?

Thanks stingray for your reply.I im thinking of building an engine similiar to a 500hp or bulldog.I won't be shelling out the 15g+ for the upgrade i hope.The boat is a 98 and im very happy the ride and quality of the boat.I bought the boat with intention to upgrade power.Buy the way i took a couple of test rides in 25 and 28 sunsations.
Very impressed with both.
