saw that one guy who ran it off the driveshaft it was trick. was a yellow cp i think. do you have a pic of your boat?
I have a 19 foot eliminator daytona and needed some help with the placement of the alternator, I seen the mounts offered by Rex marine but I wanted to put my back seat in if I choose and the low mount looks like it will hit the stringers. What is everyone else running?
Thanks for the help!! idea

That is a sweet setup
Looks like a boat that never gets used. Very clean set up.
Here's what I use, It's a home made unit and tough to see. You may have to use your imagination.

Here's what I did with mine. It's not nearly as trick as the driveshaft driven one, but it only cost me $7.00 to put together. I sorta copied the ones that they sell in Jeggs/Summit. My turnbuckle came from the local hardware store and I just used the bolt from the motor mount to hold one end and the other goes to the alternator. It's been on there for three years and hasn't given me any problems. All you have to do is loosen the jamnut and adjust the belt tension with the turnbuckle.
These are the pieces I used. Had to put some bushings in the eyelet ends of the turnbuckle.
I even had it on my other motor with a four point mount. I just drilled a hole in the mounting plate and tapped it for the proper size hardware (5/8" I believe).
