Smooth water................ Yes, I went to Coldwater a few times. They sell beer on Sundays up there! An old friend named Greg Gick has a place on Lake Guage. I have not seen him in years but he knows his shit and has been swinging wrenches for years for the local marinas. So if you ever need anything done in that area he would be a good guy to contact.
We used to camp at Salamonie everyweekend before the folks got the lake house. But I was so young that I can't remember much of that.
I was 8 years old when they got the place at James. My dad got it because it was cheeper than an RV! He got it for something like 11 grand back then!

    Superdave,
I grew up boating Lake James\Jimmerson\and Snow also. Friends of ours had cottages on all three. We had our boat at the Boathouse on the channel between James and Jimmerson for about 14 years you know the ones with all the garage doors.
I am not a ***boat type of boater but I thought I would check this place out after another guy on a boating forum I frequent talked about this site. After all it is still boating and it is what we all love.
I ended up moving to the Wawasee Lake area in Syracuse for a few years after High school\Air Force then up here in Michigan. You want to talk about rough water; they have 30' boats on that lake!
You dont see to many of these boats you see on this site to often up around here.
Where did you go to High School?

Where did you go to High School?Boatsrule, Welcome to the Hot Boat show. It does not matter what kind of boat you have. If it flots is all good. So what is this other forum your talking about? I'ed like to check it out.
Yes I do know the Boathouse. Remember back in the day when the hotel and the soda/arcade place was still at Beldso's (sp again)? Man that was fun times. If you leave the channel and go directly across the lake that is where my folks place is.
I went to Anderson High, class of 81.
We went to the lake james every weekend rain or shine.

Ah yes Bledso's, and the basketball camp. And you cant forget Fun Spot Park.
Over near Lake George unless it was Lake Gage? my sister rolled our ford conversion van with my younger sister, a friend of mine and I, heading to Fun Spot!. Very scary but all came out good thanks to the seat belts, except I didnt have one on eek! . It was over near the damn, where you could go swimming and slide under.
I am bit younger then you, I graduated in 89' in Ft Wayne.
These are the sites I visit on a more then a daily basis. Work always gets in the way of boat web surfing...
