GlastronGuy:
DLP Like the info on that site....It's had to believe that chip has all those mirrors moved by actuators on it... eek!
The new technology on the block is LCOS: Light On Liquid Silicon...The few models that release had a few problems, and probably shouldn't be purchased until the spring..Hopefully they'll have the software demons worked out by then.... They're suppose to be as good a picture as the DLP minus the rainbow effect, but the one we had in our training room was so bad that it was hard for me to watch... Weird thing is that a few others that were watching didn't notice the color problems...
I believe the new 73" Mitsubishi's are going to have this technology right Roz?

I believe the new 73" Mitsubishi's are going to have this technology right Roz? I think the WS73713 is still to be a std rear projection TV( would look good in your livingroom loco ), but the WS82913 will be a different story...The 82 will retail at 21k...The new 73 should ht the whss during the 3rd week of November. The 82 is to be in production by the beginning of November and may ship to a very select retailers by the last week of November or 1st week of December..I can't wait to see it...

I was all excited about the Hitachi LCoS TVs and have been following their progress on the AVSForum Click here to go to the AVS Forum - geek heaven for anyone into Audio, Video, Home Theater, etc. but as you said, they've been having problems.
LCoS should be awesome - I think even better than plasma and LCD for a number of technical reasons. And it'll provide an awesome computer and video game display.
(this is my 1,000th post) eek!
