if anyone has or knows where i can get a twin turbo setup for my bbc please let me know. I am going tommorrow to look at a used setup the guy wants 1600 for, what do i need to look for? is it cheaper to go with a blower instead? could someone post pics of their twin turbo setup cause i am wanting to put this in a 21 ft eliminator hull and partially cover the engine so pics of any setups similar to that would be appreciated.
    thanks

    Wenkel,
Take a look at this, I have been considering it but I have Soo much money invested in my 671 settup. I can't decide, but there are a couple days left of the auction..... I may purchase it myself and sell all my 671 stuff?

that's a nice looking system. You could not buy the water jacketed turbo housing from Brummett for what it is at now.
It's an old system but sounds like the turbos are new.

i just went and looked at a twin turbo setup, it had rayjay turbos i forget what the model# was, then it had a carb adapter that sat at the back of the motor and had two hoses that went from it to the turbos, then after it left the turbo it went to the intake where the carb would normally be. the guy told me with this setup there is no wastegate and you control boost by enlarging or reducing the size of the hole in the gasket in the intake. is this a good turbo setup? is this what they mean by blow thru turbo or what.

That deal on Ebay would be a nice starter setup, and if the turbos check out worth well more than its currently at. More tuneable than the Race Aero deal that Hacker posted up since the ebay deal is running waste gates. The race aero setup is nice but dollar for dollar with all the fab work and the jacketed housings as opposed to jacketed shrouds on the Race Aero deal, the ebay setup is smokin. Someone will score a sweet deal as long as all the water related parts pass a pressure test.

look at where the carbs would be. that looks like it was set up as a tbi setup and he said he has another set up. this looks like it was in a i/o boat with two motors.http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...rbo_set_up.jpg

i will email some more to you.
this is a galebanks setup with rayjay compressors. big intercoller setup single carb (holley 850 DP) makes 10lbs of boost at 5600 rpms. i have not yet taken this boat WOT because i'm having prop problems and i need to fix this fisrt before i can go wot. but it is estimated that this boat should do 80-85 mph. the motor is a 468 bbc all original from 1979 a valve job had been done about 2 years ago. i would recomend a turbo setup only if you can do your own wrenching. and yes they do take a lil more concern and maint. but if they are setup right. they work great. if you have any questins please e-mail me araik2000@earthlink.net post a pic of your boat.

Thats really a good price for this set up if its as good as they say. If this is your first turbo motor, go for it. Ask your motor builder what pistons he recommends...
