Pat , what is the comp.ratio of those ??
I am running the 2399's @ 8.75/1 / the more static comp. the less boost you will be able to run
    If I did over again I would probably stay around 7.5 - 8 / 1
not that I have had any problems , just more Boost = More Power
    Just my 2* Gopherrr

is 8.36 i have a set of canfield alum heads that are 119c.c.

I think you mean L2377 F60. If so, compression would be about 7.75 to 1.
If so we have used this piston in a blown gas hydro for many years, no problems. I would recommend throwing the wrist pins away and buying taper walls.

Price is right. Taper wall wrist pins are a heavier wall wrist pin made for blower use. Pin ID is thicker in the center and tapers in thickness. Thicker straight wall wrist pins are available also. I just do not trust a stock wrist pin in blown applications for good reasons. I tried it. And lost a motor because of it.
Childs and Albert, JE or others sell good wrist pins. I like the 185 gram taper walls. Never lost one in all the motors I have built.

Pat, from the listings I have, those can only be used with the standard(6.135") length rod.

Yep, I missed the rod length deal. I don't think trw makes pistons for longer rods.

in talking with heatseeker he says that there is a little extra room at the top to use the pistons with a longer rod. i will have to check with him again tomorrow after work but i think that is what he is using in his engine now thanks for the infomation guys.

Room at the top? Not 1/4".
