DSL pales compared to cable. Don't know much about sattelite access though.......................?

DSL is ok, uses your phone lines of course. We have more issues with DSL speeds than I like. Cost is high on DSL, we get a break as long as we keep our home phone.
Once cable modems are available here, we drop both DSL and home phone. We have enough cell phones here, so who needs a standard phone line.

Cable still uses phone company to get into the internet, we just don't need subscriber lines.

I have Qwest DSL at home. If I download a video or something from here, it downloads at about 100k/sec. Here at work we're on an old T1 and I see about 140k/sec. What do you see with a cable modem?
