My brother has a few...he's been busting them up for years now...or so he says.
Actually Hammer these boats are ex SEAL team boats my Dad bought at Govt auction years ago when bussiness was much slower, we did a considerable amount of work to a couple and they are very slowly nearing completion.
But our main bussiness is hydraulics and we no longer had room in the shop for a boat.
Thus, they sit.
And are for sale.

I find the concept of trying to drill that far, that small, straight thru a rod mind boggling. I cant drill straight thru anything with a drill press.
The 130klb ratchet. Must be one hell of a machine as that approached the tensile strength of many common steels.
Yes, i found it very interesting, although not my choice of interesting things to do on saturday

Tim, with all that iron (motors and such) laying around, I'd be tempted to do something with that Fountian in the back yard!
How old is that Hull...and did it come like that with the big deck hatch?
would love to see one moor pic

Hammer, the Fountain hulls are late 80's
and yes it would be nice to put one together but, even with the eng.s and the TRS drives we have, I would have to come up with a lot of hardware.
Time I got.
Money and space to work on something like that,
I don't.
But you never know.
About the big deck hatches, yes that's the way they had them built.
The cabin was obviously used to carry equipment of some kind.

Uh...ok
Mom taught me "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
So I didn't.
