Does anyone know if they are pulling boats over on Havasu or in the channel without mufflers? Or are they just checking at the launch ramps? I launch at Moabi and don't have them. Know I should, just haven't done it yet.

In addition to the marina, some of the areas up river that are patrolled by Fish & Game have been known to give out $200+ noise tickets :220v:
I have seen the fish and game boat running up the river between the lake and sandbar with a db meter in his hand, so I closed my silent choice and went on my merry way. On the new boat i went with Gibson muffler so as not to have any problems.
Does anyone know what a stock 496HO does db. wise? Mine exhaust above the waterline. 5" piping from the risers. Just wondering.
Mine is right at the water line and is under the swim step with an echo and came in at 84db if I remember right. I ran it last weekend with out the mufflers and had no problems. I think once they test you at the Marina they take your license # down and the next time you go through they check off of that.

They ahve been saying that for the past year now. I think i am going to mine back on just so I won't have to put up with their shiat.
