    I'd say start with a low water pickup and get the motor up. Generally speaking, a 3 blade is faster, but a good 4 blade will do most everything else better, and the loss will be minimal, especially on a heavier boat.

    the boat is to me very light ,is 6" to low ? i get a lot of blow out in my turns and out of the hole. would a 14.5x23 3 blade help? very new to this, but looking for the best

    It all depends on what style prop you have, but from a performance standpoint, propshaft 6" under the bottom is BURIED!! Most performance hulls run 1" below to to as high as 2" above the pad (with setback and low water pickup) Show some pics of your setup and I'll try to help.
