Got the Beisemeyer almost done, just waiting for the lakes to thaw out. Figured I'd add up the reciept and check out the damage to the wallet...close to 6K. I did the work myself over the long Minnesota winter. It was a lot bigger project than I orginally thought. I guess I'm happy with the result concidering the cost and I can say I built it myself, but 6K for a nice used boat that somebody else restored don't sound all that bad either. If your looking for a boat this spring you my want to keep in mind the real cost to restore one, exspecially if you plan to have someone else paint it and install custom interior (I'll proabably change the interior next year, just wanted to avoid using milk crates this summer).
I started with a bare hull, WJ and trailer. Final cost $150 after selling most of the the Olds stuff on E-bay. I used the motor and a few other parts off my old boat that I'd paid $2200.

Yep, water tight made out of Mahgony...hey its a classic for any wooden boat lover. $400 and she yours, trailer (with new tires), title, and a good 12CJ. I don't suppose I'll get any takers, proabaly end up burning it and selling the pump.
