Ok I have some fittings that are used. Can I just take them apart and replace the hose with new stuff?
Also is the sizes somehow changed over to Pipe sizes????

    Dan,
Compression style fitting are easy to re-use. If you have the cutter style they also can be re-used but you may need to dig the rubber out of the cutter.
AN sizes are roughly the AN # /16. So a -8 fittiing is 8/16 or 1/2".
When you cut the hose wrap some tape around if before you cut it. A chop saw or a die grinder with a cut off wheel will work. Hack saw's suck.
    Hope this helps.

To cut the hose, here's another way. Piece of aluminum plate, sharp chisel and big hammer. You'll be surprsied at how good it works.

I have not once got that to work. Next time you come to the swap bring your chisel. I'll bring da hammer and plate. I wanna see this.
I have a monster pair of cable cutters. Big Kliens for 500 mcm or what ever. They cut it like butta.

Jesus, Dave, I bought a pair of Kliens last year to cut 636mcm cable. If I saw someone bear down on a piece of stainless hose I'd slit their sack and stuff their leg through it. You must of got a good deal on them.

The chisel wasn't that sharp. Took a couple hits for the 10. Strange it works as good as it does.
