I havn't heard about that one. I did read in yesterdays paper that a "speed boat" capsized in Rhode Island with 7 family members on board. 3 confirmed dead. On of the kids swam to shore in the 50 degree water and knocked on someones door for help. Sounded like weather got shitty. No one in the 17 foot "speed boat" as the paper called it, was, you guessed it, wearing a life jacket. Probably a bayliner with a 115. Paper says may have been too many peeps in the boat.
If I'm in a 17ft in shitty weather, I'm not going to be bashful. I'm breaking out the lifejacket. I was in a 28 ft in that monsoon in Havasu a few weeks ago and it wasn't fun.
