Snap a pic of what you have as there are many different types of setups. Then I can tell you what you're missing....
Thanks to repo man for getting me the parts, I owe him big. I was wondering if anyone had pics of their down pedal and the area, I want to see how you have yours installed. I have the new lever in place and hooked up, now I just need to install the pedal itself. I think I still need an extension bar to go from the lever housing to the pedal and a bracket for the left side of the pedal to mount to. Any pics would be very helpful.
also, me and my dad still cant figure out how a pedal pops the lever out of being locked and moves it.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

I just went and took some pics, here is how it sits now all hooked up with the plate adjusted and all.

This set up was on repo man's schiada before. He has 4 stringers and said the pedal was mounted in the middle of the drivers side too. Should I make a bracket to bolt to the floor? or would it be ok bolted to one side?
Thanks again.
The shaft for the pedal will need to be supported on both ends so it appears a bracket will have to be fabricated. You will need 2 flange bearings, one on each end of the shaft.
You will then need to make a connector link from the pedal to the control rod coupler that will come through a slider mounted to the handle arm. Your pic isn't clear on the underside connection area of the handle so I'm guessing here as that is a handle design I've not seen.
Basically what you're creating is a single foot override system. The control rod from the back of the boat (normally 1/2 dia) needs to be long enough to come a little forward of the handle arm. You then use a slider eyelever with a 1/2" hole mounted in the handle. The rod goes through the slider with a regular male type rod end. You will need a 1/2" safety collar for use as a stop on one side, the rod end with a jam nut can be used as a stop on the other side if the rod is the correct length, otherwise use 2 collars.
Then depending on the width of the arm on your pedal shaft and the rod end you may be able to use a standard turnbuckle to connect up to the pedal. Otherwise you have to make up a connector rod out of 1/2" round and use regular rod ends. I probably have some round 1/2" ss here if you need
Being it's an override you will need a spring kit also. You can use a dual or a single. Singles are simpler and adequate which is what I'd use. If it's not enough pressure you can stack 2 end to end.
All this may sound a bit confusing... here are some links of the parts to assist with visualization....

Hope this helps...
Thanks a ton Rex, it looks like I have a little bit more work to do and a bit more money to spend. I will definately let you know if I need anything. My dad will end up going down there again.
