Daughters sweet 16

First off.. I want to thank leveyjet.. He gave some of us on the boards tickets to blink 182/do doubt. (two of my daughters fav bands). Another selfless act from someone in our HB family.. Very cool.. Looking forward to meeting you
So I usually take my daughter to concerts/shows.. But this time I thought it would be cool to take her and her boyfriend as I thought she would have more fun on her B day.. After waiting on the freeway for 4hrs.. She told me "Dad.. I totally appreciate that you did this for me.. IÂ’m having a great time just trying to get in.. but I wont be upset if we just go and get some ice-cream instead".. After making sure thatÂ’s what she wanted .. I took off up the freeway to turn around.. at that point I saw a back way in.. So I got off the freeway.. and we were at the front with in 10min.. I was waiting there with another father who had taken his kids to the show.. I get a call "Dad.. There are to many drunk people, much pot smoke.. And I donÂ’t want you waiting outside alone".. (I love my kid) She shows up 10 min later with a $3.50 cup of ice water and gives it to me.. Gives me a hug and says thanks ...lets go!!..

So some of you know.. I Got her a well deserved car for her B day (she had done very well in school).. You should have seen me walking around Old Pasadena with this big bow.. Can only imagine some of the cat calls I got.."Who's present are you?".. and so on....

You are a great dad, but I know how it is: dads/daughters have a special bond. I sure enjoy my daughter/father time. We love to do things together we can't do when mom's with us

Actually .. Ellimnatedsprinter (Steve) Gave me a great Idea.. When William (his son) moved on to advanced classes.. Steve had posted so that we could wish him well and tell him how proud we were..(HB fam)..

LOL.. I know what you mean about the bond between daughters and fathers.. Some of us are really lucky..
LOL>. RD and BB572 watch over her like hawks.. LOL.. My daugter had got into an arguement with her b friend while I was at the river.. RD and BB572 wanted to come up from the San Diego/OC area to pay him a visit..
