What kind of exhaust are you running before the tips?
Replaced two pair of switchable muffler systems with IMCO's Gattling Gun mufflers; what an unbelievable difference! The sound is at least 50% less, the tone is beautiful, back pressure nil, no fouled plugs, clean transom. Anyone want to buy two pair of mufflers with air actuators and pump, cheap?
What kind of exhaust are you running before the tips?
Are they easily removeable? Do you loose much HP?
Where did you get them and how much?
I know they're made by IMCO and they're called"Gatlin"silencers.I was just wondering what kind of headers he was running because I've heard running reduced water makes a little more power but is louder and thought those things would help.
The mufflers use the regular clamps at the outlet of the CMI headers. The claim is zero loss of horsepower and I believe it. There are seven perforated tubes the full length of the tail pipes, approximately 22" long from the tips up, 5" in OD. No harse racket, just beautiful noise. Most of the water is dumped into the exhaust system...
SoCal, I bought them thru GT Performance in Montclair who took the boat to IMCO for a perfect fit. As for price, you'll have to get a quote for your particular boat. I'm looking forward to not washing my transom again...
