This brings up a good question. There are aluminum couplers and there are steel couplers. Tony.....you know my boat....it came with an aluminum coupler. Should steel be used for racing and big HP motors?????? And aluminum for ski boats????

    Sam,
the Aluminum one on the boat is exactly what you need. You want strength and no weight. That one on your boat has been 8.0s at 130.
    Have you tried the propeller?

    Tony,
Yes, I have tried the prop. I haven't forgotten where I got it. Made some ignition and timing changes and woke up the motor some more. The prop feels like it lifts the tail of the boat more and carries the nose better, longer. Handles a whole lot better. Been to Casitas several times here lately with some of the guys from Ventura County. Our good weather seems to be holding...
