"New" engine is in the hull and started once, pump is sitting on the garage floor. Have added some new goodies to both. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Debut will be at the run whatya brung event to get some time on the motor. May install a droop after I get everything dialed in. Boat was strong before, can't wait to hit the loud pedal!

I ordered a 540 merlin for my 18' Southwind. Swapping out the Olds. The Merlin has shipped and so should be here in a week or so.
Now, however, I'm plagued with thoughts of a better home for the 540. Maybe a new 21' tunnel or something along those lines. Come on... talk me in to it... http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif

Well the boat is all sanded down and we'll begin the process of spraying a new gel coat next week. Meanwhile, i sent a ton of parts to the chrome shop. I bought a place diverter.
My 455 will be assembled in the next couple of weeks with a new Offy polished tunnel ram, a pair of Holley 750 HP carbs, Comp Cams 284 Extreme energy cam, Edelbrock RPM heads, Roller rockers, and all the mondello oil system mods. I'll have dyno numbers in march.
And if I dont run out of cheddar, I'll have a new interior and gauges to go along with all the new crap I'm doing.

Rebuild my 454. Full machine work, 60 over. Edelbrock aluminum heads, healthy cam, etc. In the same boat (so to speak) at Flat Broke, $$ is an issue as well as time. Not performance, but it is in the shop for new engine hatch. Chris, now its time to take some pics for your site. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif

I've got plenty of pics from the day I bought the boat up to current day, documenting everything that has been done. Don't worry, I'll have my boat up once it's finished with some before and after type stuff. I'm just down on the idea of posting pics until its done. Kind of like a woman not wanting to you to see her without her makeup type thing http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Good luck to everyone in their endeavors,

Gezzz, everyone has been busy. I cut my oil filter open and found some brass shavings from my new motor in the filter. so I pulled the motor out expecting the worst. Guess it was just a piece of trash that magicaly appeared in my oil gally. One main bearing had a groove gowged in it from something other than oil passing through. Would have been OK, but I put in a set of new bearings and a few gaskets and now its ready for the first sign of warm weather.
Get the tunnel Eric, you know you want it. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
