Sanger Steve...You must be talking about the Mickey Thompson (M/T) Valve Covers with the ridge's
Alot of you guys probably know this already but im going to post this anyway for any of those who dont (I DIDNT). I was out at Lake Lahonton yestersay tearing it up and i ran into a guy with an 18" bahner (nice Looking Boat) his valve covers really caught my eye. he had the ones with the ridges on top and inside the ridges were painted light blue to match his boat, it really looked trick. All you do is tape off around the outside ridge of the valve cover as not to get paint on the rest of the valve cover, spray paint the top, ridges and all, and then wipe the top of the ridges off with a cloth. he also painted his dist. cap to match. and WALLAH a cheap easy way to dress up your engine.
