Hey guys.... I've never looked at that boat close, but I'll almost bet money that it weighs closer to 500# than 300#. Not saying this is a bad thing, especially for a lake boat, just David never cared much to lay up super lite weight boats because of the liabilities involved. Not only that, I've owned a couple and worked on dozens of them. Most were in the 600# to 700# range.
that's fine with me garry,but the gunnels sure are flexible.

Garrrys seen my layup also and may chime in here , but if you are gonna be running hard at the lake ,a heavyer layup would be alot better....AND >
You may want to get with him on your intake setup , or have him do it ? It is very important to get it set right on how the hull will perform !!! :idea:
Hey Randall........ Yours could be the exception. The point I was trying to make, is that a heavier layup is much more condusive to lake use. I blew the side out of a Sunkist Tunnel several years ago trying to use a drag hull as a lake boat. More power to you and all the best on this project.
