Unless you want that particular set-up, you can build a hydro for a little less. Personally I wouldnt get a hydro for lake use. They ride like a picnic table and scare you in the chop. A flatbottom would be much more practical for cruising at the lake. Thats just my opinion, and I own 2 hydros and 1 flatbottom. I think its a nice boat though. I wouldnt put those style headers on a blown hemi, just makes the motor look bad. The scoop doesnt do it any justice either. Stock rods dont like boost, so gentle on the throttle or they'll come out and shake hands with you. The stock crank is the opposite, guys still run them on nitro. The Winged Express fuel altered car had over 100 runs on a stock 392 crank on 90% nitro at 15-17 gpm. Baddest part of the 392 is the crank and block....nothing tougher. Heads dont flow very well, reason they modified it a great deal and came up with the 426.
It is a very nice boat... IMO
