The last pic if Im not mistaken is the overflow on the Nevada side and not part of the new bridge.

You are right................I have seen pics of the new bridge (artists rendering) and the new bridge will be a couple hundred feet above and over from the dam looking down toward Willow Beach.

Notice the traffic going over the dam, in both directions. Its typically going about 2 miles per hour on Friday and Sunday. The new bridge will really help, but I hope they keep the trucks off like they did after 9-11. I wonder what the trucks shown are doing, what happened to the restrictions, or is this picture from a time before 9-11 and superimposed with the new bridge rendering in the foreground. Whats the real story here? Is there a prize for guessing correctly?

Looks like an old pic, look at the water line.

That pic is from this last weekend, Sat. to be exact. Trucks are allowed over the bridge if they are based within 75 miles. With a permit & subject to search. Some of the trucks there are hauling raw product for the bridge construction. Rod64's pic is a rendering over a old pic. You win.
Thanks, Mike

I just drove the route from Kingman accross Hoover and back around to Laughlin last Wed. then ran up with the boat on Thursday....all these pics look just like mine-LOL
The highway construction is probably about 75% complete on either side of canyon(NEV. more so), just the crossing needs to be started.
I have a feeling we may not get quite as close to the dam in our boats once they start working on the shear cliffs.
Great pics Cola.:)

Nice Pictures..
Some a-hole tried to cross Parker Dam about a week ago in a semi because he was overweight and did not want to go through POE in Parker. Needless to say the barriers prevented him from crossing. Don't think the company will be to happy with him as my understanding is that the semi was no longer driveable.

Its amazing how far down the water is. We were there in February and I was just as low. Thanks for the pics!

I'm not talking about your pics--they look recent and the water is low. I'm talking about Rods pic with the bridge rendering. The water looks high in it.
