I still like the GM design better, but that is an improvement over what they had up to 2004.....(like mine)

I ordered a 2005 D-max crew cab and the sales guy did not say a thing about changes from the 2004 model.
If anyone could give me any info on the changes it would be nice to know.
Thanks

Doesn't sound like anything major, it says..
"improved fuel economy to its full-size trucks through a series of improvements, including an improved cooling system, a new voltage control system and aerodynamic enhancements. The improvements add up to a fuel economy increase averaging 1 mpg across the full-size truck portfolio."

Rumor is they are going to start running e-fans and introducing a 5.3L hybrid...

5.3 hybrid is real. Not a true hybrid just a start stop hybrid. Electric motor only kicks in at start up and less than 15 or 20 miles per hour. I drove one my rep brought in and when you approach a stop sign the truck feels like it is going to stall. There is a slight hesitation when you take off, almost feels like the launch shudder that you feel on the 2500's.
Truck has a 2.5 kw gen onboard with outlets under the rear seat and on the inside of passenger side bed towards the back--very cool for the contractors. I don't have the specs yet but I heard that a little towing capacity is lost.
Haven't heard anything about e-fans but there is a kit avail that we have used to wire an addl e-fan in and it works pretty good. The G.M. fan clutch sucks power away big time and they need to go to an e-fan.
